FRAMINGHAM, MA--Mayor Charlie Sisitsky is pleased to announce that he has hired Randolph resident Ryan Egan as the city’s new Public Information Officer.

Egan comes to Framingham from his current position as Executive Secretary to Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant.  Concurrently, he is serving his third term as an elected member of the Town of Randolph’s Town Council, thereby bringing extensive municipal experience to his new position on the staff of Mayor Sisitsky.

In Marlborough, Egan’s position encompasses the Public Information Officer function, administering various aspects of the city’s website, managing social media content creation, and working on press-related matters.

He is also bringing background in government operations, having held staff positions in Randolph’s Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

“My background in both executive and legislative municipal government, understanding of the political process, and direct experience in communication work will provide for a short learning curve,” said Egan.  “The prospect of applying my technical skills and experience to assist both the new administration in its goals, and departments in their respective functions, is one I am not only prepared for, but am eager to undertake.

“I am extremely pleased to bring Ryan’s talents to Framingham,” said Mayor Sisitsky. “He is clearly highly organized, energetic, and focused on providing effective and accessible government to the public.”
