Environmental Education Local Grants Program, 11/8/2023

EPA is seeking grant applications to support locally focused environmental education projects that promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers, and citizens. This grant program provides financial support for projects that design, demonstrate, and/or disseminate environmental education practices, methods, or techniques that will serve to increase environmental literacy and encourage behavior that will benefit the environment in the local community(ies) in which they are located. Grants up to $50,000.00.

Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program, 11/16/2023

The AEF Program provides an opportunity for accomplished K-12 educators in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to serve in the national education arena. Fellows spend eleven months working in Federal agencies or in U.S. Congressional offices, applying their extensive knowledge and classroom experiences to national education programs and/or education policy efforts. Eligible applicants must have a minimum of five complete years of full-time classroom teaching experience prior to submitting the application.

Department of Housing and Urban Development, 12/4/2023

The Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP) seeks to facilitate and encourage innovative homeownership opportunities on a national, geographically diverse basis. SHOP units must be decent, safe, and sanitary non-luxury dwellings that comply with state and local codes, ordinances, and zoning requirements. The SHOP units must be sold to homebuyers at prices below the prevailing market price. Homebuyers must be low-income and must contribute a significant amount of sweat equity towards the development of the SHOP units. Eligible applicants include public or private non-profit organizations, or a consortium of public or private non-profit organizations, that have the capacity and experience to provide or facilitate self-help homeownership opportunities on a national or regional basis.
