FEDERAL GRANTS

National Endowment of the Arts, 6/28/2023
Public Impact Projects grants seek to assist you in meeting your community’s needs by expanding the scope, reach, and excellence of your public programs. $1.2 million in available funding.

Lewis-Houghton Civics and Democracy Initiative, 6/30/2023
Funds Support Digitally Enabled Learning Initiatives in Music and Arts. Grants up to $100,000.

National Endowment of the Arts, 7/6/2023
FY 2024 Grants for Arts Projects program. Awards of $10,000 to $100,000 are available; a minimum 1:1 match is required.

U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), 7/28/2023
Program funding opportunity launched to enable innovators, entrepreneurs, and tech-driven startups to fuel regional economic growth. Total funding 50M. 

National Endowment of the Arts, 8/3/2023
FY 2024 Our Town grant program, supports projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities. Awards will range from $25,000 to $150,000.

Department of the Interior, FY2023 ABPP - Battlefield Interpretation Grant, 8,9/2023
Grants to provide assistance for projects that deploy technology to modernize and enhance battlefield interpretation and education at Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefield sites. Grants up to $200,000, match required.

A UEI is required to apply for and receive federal awards.
The process is extensive; plan ahead.

New This Week
The City of Boston Housing Innovation Lab, 8/4/2023
Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new model of affordable homeownership that allows aspiring homeowners to start building equity through renting an affordable unit that they may eventually purchase. MOH will host a virtual Q&A session on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM.

Bids are updated continuously on the City of Boston Supplier Portal.

FOUNDATION GRANTS

Latino Public Broadcasting, 6/21/2023                                                                                                           Latino Public Broadcasting invites applications for documentary films. Grants range from $40,000 and $100,000 for production and post-production.

Bank of America Charitable Foundation, 6/23/2023  Applications for community needs: Affordable housing, Small Business Resiliency, and Neighborhood Revitalization. 

The JA Community Foundation, 6/26/2023
Programs benefiting the Japanese American community funded. Average Awards $2,500 to $50,000.

Energize the Environment  Grant Program, 6/30/2023
Grants of $3,500 will be awarded to an individual or group pursuing a program or initiative designed to benefit our environment.

T-Mobile - Hometown, 6/30/2023
Small infrastructure grants. For example, this might include the town square pavilion, a historic building, an outdoor park, a ball field, or a library-- every town has places where friends and neighbors connect. Grants up to $50,000.00

The Boston Scientific Foundation, 7/1/2023
The foundation invites applications for its health grants program,which will award grants in support of programs that aim to improve the health of those who are economically disadvantaged.Grants awarded to nonprofits and schools.

Big Lots Foundation, 7/1/2023
The foundation supports Healthcare, Housing, Hunger, and Education.

Native Voices Rising, 7/7/2023
General operating grants available for Native-led groups. Awards average: $30,000.

The Home Depot Foundation, 7/8/2023
Veteran Housing Grants Program. The program will award grants ranging from $100,000 and $500,000 in support of the construction and rehabilitation.

Family Medicine Cares USA, 7/17/2023
Funds to assist free health clinics nationwide.

The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, 7/15/2023     Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to help new free clinics with a primary care focus open their doors. 

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, Rolling by the 5th of every month (except July, and August)
The Catalyst Fund provides one-time non-renewable grants of up to $7,500 for a twelve-month period to help community-based organizations strengthen their capacity to expand access to health and health care in Massachusetts.

Ben and Jerry's Foundation, Rolling
Inviting pre-applications for its Grassroots Organizing program. Grants of up to $30,000 will be
awarded to nonprofit community-organizing groups working to advance social and environmental justice and support sustainable and just food systems.

Fresh Start Program
Fresh Start is a one-time temporary program from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) that offers special benefits for borrowers with defaulted federal student loans.

Mayor Wu’s 2023 Neighborhood Coffee Hour Series
5/2/2023-6/21/2023

A unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about open space and your neighborhood. Dunkin’ will be on-site to fuel the local community with freshly brewed Iced Coffee and assorted fan-favorite MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats. In addition, each family in attendance will receive a free flowering plant provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, while supplies last. Dunkin’ will brew up even more fun with customized lawn games and gift cards.

Residents at each event will be eligible to win a raffle prize from Dunkin’. Fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market. Additional support by City Express.
