The Carver Public Library is open 6 days a week:  Monday 10-6, Tuesday 10-8, Wednesday 10-6, Thursday 10-4, Friday 10-4, and Saturday 10-2.

STEM Playgroup – Mondays, March 6 to April 10 at 11:00 a.m. – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math based playgroup for preschoolers. Young children are natural- born scientists and engineers. Explore the world around you through science, technology, engineering, and math with everyday activities. Toddler Storytime – Tuesdays, February 28 to April 11 at 10:30 a.m.  – Join volunteer reader, Sarah Hewins, for stories, songs and activities.

Art Lab – Tuesdays, March 7 to April 11 at 5:30 p.m. – Ages 4 and up, drop-in for a new art adventure every week. This session, enjoy cartoon themed activities like how to draw Elephant & Piggie, DogMan, Captain Underpants, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Nate and Rene Telgemeier.

Storytime – Wednesdays, March 1 to April 12 at 10:30 a.m. – Join us for stories, songs and related activities.

Play with Pathways – Thursdays, March 2 to April 13 at 10:30 a.m. – Meet the members of Silver Lake’s Pathways group while you color and play games.

Rainbow Loom Bracelets – Saturday, March 4 at 11:00 a.m. – All ages, drop-in.

Pastel Shamrocks – Saturday, March 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. – All ages, drop-in.

Lego Day – Saturday, March 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – All ages, drop-in.

Bird Nests – Saturday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. – All ages, register.

April Fool’s Carnival – Saturday, April 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. – All ages, drop-in.

Perler Eggs – Saturday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. – Ages 4 and up, drop-in.

EVENTS

The Book Club at the Carver Public Library - Third Wednesday of the Month - 2:00.

Please call the library to find out where we will be meeting in March – either the Large Meeting Room or the Police Station’s Community Room. Everyone is welcome to the book club which meets most months of the year.  Books are available at the Circulation Desk. The book for Wednesday, March 15th is The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James.  

Jon Waterman Presents The Railroad in Song – Thursday, March 9th – Large Meeting Room – 2:00 p.m. – PENDING BUILDING RENOVATION

The Railroad in Song looks at the railroad in American history through songs about the railroad and westward migration, the train and Civil Rights, infamous train wrecks, the train in music, and more. Everyone is welcome!

Movie Matinee –2nd Tuesday of the Month - 1:00 – Large Meeting Room – PENDING BUILDING RENOVATION

Join us at the library on Tuesday, March 14th for Ticket to Paradise which is rated PG-13. This is a free event, everyone is invited, and refreshments will be served.
