The Carver Public Library is open 6 days a week:  Monday 10-6, Tuesday 10-8, Wednesday 10-6, Thursday 10-4, Friday 10-4, and Saturday 10-2.

Toddler Storytime – Tuesdays, September 6 to October 25 at 10:30 a.m.  – Join volunteer reader, Sarah Hewins, for stories, songs and activities.

Art Lab – Tuesdays, September 13 to October 25 at 4:30 p.m. – Ages 4 and up, drop-in for a new art adventure every week.

Storytime – Wednesdays, September 7 to October 26 at 10:30 a.m. – Join us for stories, songs and related activities.

Miss Debbie’s Story Social – Thursdays, September 8 to September 29 at 10:30 a.m. – Join us for social-emotional story time with Miss Debbie. Miss Debbie will read a book on a social-emotional subject and share calming strategies related to the emotion. Story is followed with a craft, songs and activities. Designed for caregivers and children ages 3 and up. Register online at https://www.sscac.org/ssfn-events 

Family Storytime – Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m. – All ages, drop-in

Painted Feathers – Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Ages 3 and up, drop-in

Beaded Corn – Saturday, October 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Ages 3 and up, drop-in

American Cryptids NERF Hunt – Saturday, October 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – BYO NERF equipment or use some of ours to hunt these elusive creatures.

Llama Pumpkins – Saturday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. – Ages 4 and up, must register. Bring your own 4 in diameter (approximate) pumpkin.

Halloween Party – Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. – All ages, must register for games, crafts and party activities. Come in costume!

Movie Matinee –2nd Tuesday of the Month - 1:00 – Large Meeting Room
Join us at the library on Tuesday, September 13 for Belfast which is rated PG-13. This is a free event, everyone is invited, and refreshments will be served.

The Book Club at the Carver Public Library - Third Wednesday of the Month - 2:00 - Large Meeting Room
Everyone is welcome to the book club which meets monthly and books are available at the Circulation Desk. The book for Wednesday, September 21st is The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Nicole Perry Presents her Book:  I am on a Love Diet – Tuesday September 13 – 6:30 – 7:30 - Small Meeting Room
Nicole Perry of Plymouth will share many stories from her debut book I Am on A Love Diet, a 365-day memoir about how she created her own sustainable diet, avoided the medication route, and cleaned her body from the inside out just by feeding herself more love.  It reads like a beach novel and Nicole will have copies of her book available for purchase along with the companion journal.  All are welcome!Home Alone/Babysitting Class

5 consecutive Tuesday evenings – 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, from 6:30 – 7:30 – Small Meeting Room
The Carver Public Library will be offering the free Home Alone/Babysitting Class to those who are 11 and older this fall.  The class will meet on 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 beginning Tuesday, September 24th and ending Tuesday, October 22rd.  The class is for those who wish to learn about babysitting as well as for those who stay home alone.  There will be guest speakers covering topics such as fire safety, personal safety, nutrition, child development and activities.  The class will be held in the Small Meeting Room.  Registration is required.  Please call the library at 508-866-3415 to sign up and with any questions.
