Terrific 2s & 3s Story Time!

Children this age love to MOVE!  Our Story Time will be full of things like active movement, songs, shakers, and scarves along with stories. Registration is required as space is limited.

This hands-on Story Time program is geared for curious and tenacious 4-5 year olds. Children will participate in different activities that provide room to explore concepts presented in the stories through STEAM activities. Registration is required as space is limited.

Infants and toddlers aged 0-23 months are invited to this musical program specially designed to engage the tiniest library users while developing early literacy skills. Registration required; space is limited.

Artist Meet & Greet: Of Grave Concern
Saturday, Oct. 7, 12-3pm

This special Halloween-themed exhibit will showcase some eerie stories and unique Gothic and Victorian histories, with videos that will highlight New England's spooky history! Meet the artist behind these works to learn more about the art on display and the truly unique stories behind them. "Of Grave Concern" was started from an artistic and historical gothic passion for the art of the darker side of human expression. Old and reclaimed materials are used wherever they can be found or salvaged, such as vintage and old books and 19th-century barn wood and flooring.

Drop-In Tech Help
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2-5pm

Drop by the library for all of your basic technology needs! Our volunteers and librarians will help you learn about using your computers, smart phones, tablets, or other devices. If you need assistance using library apps, searching the library databases, or creating any of your own accounts, we're here for you! Stop by any time between 2-5pm. For more advanced tech help, consider signing up for an appointment by contacting anix@cwmars.org so we can best serve your needs.

Mental Health 101 with LUK inc.
Thursday, Oct. 12, 6-7:30pm

Join us in the library for a mental health training session. Adults and teens will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness and mental health disorders in youth. LUK Inc. will provide tips and tools to destigmatize mental health disorders while also providing support. Community support resources for youth and caregivers will also be shared. All teens and adults are welcome to attend. Registration is encouraged.

Foliage Hike with the DCR
Saturday, Oct. 14, 10am-12pm

Join DCR Watershed Rangers for this fun hike to Scar Hill Road as we admire the changing foliage on the Wachusett Watershed. This 3 mile guided hike will lead us to shoreline views of Scar Hill Bluffs on easy-to-moderate terrain. There will be a few inclines on paved road as well as dirt access road, and we'll navigate over forest trail and sandy shore. Come and enjoy the changing foliage with us!
