Join us for this hands-on Story Time program geared for you curious and tenacious four to five year olds. Children will participate in different activities that provide room to explore concepts presented in the stories through STEM activities. Join us for a discussion of our monthly book club book. For May we will read The Dark Queens by Shelley Puhak, join us either online or in person. Copies are available at the library or on Overdrive.

Drop-In Tech Help
Wednesday, May 3, 3-6pm

Drop by the library for all of your basic technology needs! Our librarians will help you learn about using your computers, smart phones, tablets, or other devices. If you need assistance using library apps, searching the library databases, or creating any of your own accounts, we're here for you! Stop by any time between 3-6pm. For more advanced tech help, consider signing up for an appointment on our website so we can best serve your needs.

Artist Meet & Greet: Silk Art Guild
Saturday, May 6, 11am

Stop by to see our latest exhibit from the Silk Road Art Guild and meet the artists behind the work. The Silk Art Guild is a cooperative organization composed of Central Massachusetts artists who celebrate and exhibit the art of Asia from the middle-east through India to the Islands of the Japanese Archipelago. Their May exhibit, Bowing to Tradition, explores the essence of Chinese brush painting, and the relation of painting with minimum color. Come experience this truly unique exhibit through the month of May!

Celltography with Craig Norton

Thursday, May 11, 6:30pm-7:30pm

Teens and adults of all ages are invited to bring smart phones (iPhone/Android) to the library for this hands-on class to learn photography tips and techniques using their phones and the hottest apps. Photographer Craig Norton will provide all of the materials and inspiration for a photographic learning experience. Please make sure devices are fully charged!  

After 30 years as a professional photographer, Craig Norton has extensive experience teaching photography in schools, universities, museums and community art centers. He was Connecticut's Arts For Learning  "Teaching Artist of The Year" in 2012 and again in 2017. He attended the Kennedy Center's National Teaching Artist Seminar in Washington, DC and University of Wisconsin Social Emotional Learning Seminar for Teaching Artists.
