Yoga for Kids
Tuesday, Apr. 18, 11-11:30am

Join Yogi Peter Kline for this special yoga session during school vacation week! Kids will practice stretching, breathing, and some fun yoga poses to get their bodies moving. Peter was the silver medalist in the 2018 Yoga Asana World Championship in Beijing, and these days he loves practicing yoga with his young grandchildren. Ages 4 and up. Registration is required; space is limited!

Writer’s Group - Hybrid
Tuesday, Apr. 18, 6:30-7:30pm

This is a group for aspiring writers, led by Susan Roney O'Brien, MFA. All are welcome, no matter your writing level! Join this group as they improve their writing together. You can either join us in person at the library or virtually.

Teen Take & Make: Recycled Book Art
Wednesday, Apr. 19

Make a cool folded book sculpture out of a recycled book! Kit includes a book and detailed instructions to create your own book sculpture at home. Ages 12 and up; registration required. 

Story Time at Pine Ridge Farm

Evening Book Club Online

Join us for an online discussion of our monthly reads. April's selection is Come Fly the World by Julia Cooke. Copies are available at the library or on Libby.

Earth Day Celebration
Friday, Apr. 21, 1pm-2pm

Join the Boylston Public Library and Parks and Rec. Dept. for an Earth Day celebration of the Indigenous Peoples with Ray Lachance (Nouba Tewk Tomakwa) of the Abenaki/Mi'Kmaq tribes. This celebration will take place at the Hillside Outdoor Complex, where we will honor the world around us and explore how everything is connected. This family-friendly event will include a tree ceremony where we will honor our trees with a blessing ceremony and celebrate with dancing, games, and craft our own native necklaces to serve as a reminder of the world we are a part of. Bring chairs and come ready for fun and excitement as we celebrate Earth Day. (Registration preferred so we can ensure there are enough materials for everyone.)

Join us for this hands-on Story Time program geared for you curious and tenacious four to five year olds. Children will participate in different activities that provide room to explore concepts presented in the stories through STEM activities. Hike to Scar Hill Bluffs with DCR

Saturday, Apr. 29, 10am-12pm

Join DCR Watershed Rangers on a round trip, 3 mile guided hike to the library's backyard watershed. This hike will lead us to shoreline views of Scar Hill Bluffs on easy-to-moderate terrain covering a few inclines from paved road to dirt access road, and then from forest trail to sandy shore. Explore this less traveled Boylston trail with us!
