Hi Everyone!
Today's "director's words" are written with such a mix of emotions as I have upcoing changes at the Athenaeum to announce.
I have accepted a new job position elsewhere and will no longer be the Executive Director here at the library as of August 21st. This will bring to a close my 6+ years working in Becket. I will work a few hours/week through the fall to help your new library director during the transition. I have posted the open position in several job search locations in the Berkshires and with the state library system. Please spread the word that we are hiring! The Trustees and I are looking forward to the interview process to find a dynamic leader to join the best library staff ever.
I am leaving with such heartwarming memories and fondness for the community that first welcomed me at the Becket Arts Center and then at the Athenaeum! I will remain part of the community as a friend and Cookbook Club member, and hope to still see you all here and there at programs and local events!
