American Sign Language Class with Deaf Experts
Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.

Join Deaf experts from ASLdeafined.com for a live session about American Sign Language. Learn a bit about ASLdeafined.com, a language learning website available through our Library, and background information on Deaf culture. Leave this Zoom session with helpful words and phrases you can use to communicate through sign language. Be ready with questions! Space is limited. A Discussion with Marjorie Burke, Local Author of The Wednesday Ladies

What began 10 to 12 years ago as simple visits over coffee grew into something quite special among The Wednesday Ladies during the pandemic. Hear how the author kept this group not only connected, but even closer than before.

Stress Reduction and Relaxation Yoga with Carol McGuiggan
Wednesday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. 

Experience the benefits of gentle yoga stretches, calming breath techniques, and the value of meditation. Dress for movement. Bring your yoga mat or a thick towel. Space is limited.

Mindful Meditation with Carol McGuiggan
Wednesday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m.

This class is open to individuals wishing to develop inner awareness, health, and well-being. The practice will include techniques to improve concentration, clarity of mind, relaxation, and promote self-awareness. Bring a yoga mat or sitting cushion and a receptive attitude.

This workshop is designed to help teens figure out future options by considering their experiences, what’s important to them, what are they good at, what they like to do, their personality traits, and whether college or other alternatives may be the right fit.

Using only safety pins and many tiny seed beads, create charming safety pin art that can adorn your clothing or favorite bag.

Meet with the Turtle Rescue League
Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m.

The staff of the Turtle Rescue League will visit the Library to provide a special program about turtles. You will meet several turtle varieties, hear about the care of turtles found in the wild, etc. This group is incredibly informative and will tell you all about their rescue efforts. Thanksgiving Centerpiece with Ms. Sandie

Pokémon Club
Third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. Join your friends to swap, trade, play, and talk about everything Pokémon. Please email skelly@cwmars.org with 'Pokémon' in the subject line and we will send you a reminder email before the program each month!

WEEKLY PROGRAMMING

Books and Blankies on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. 
This is an early literacy program that runs in 6 week sessions during the school year. We have books, lap bounces, instrument play, parachute fun, and bubbles! For children ages 18 months to 3 years.

Virtual Story Time on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.
Hear some fun stories on Beaman Library's private YouTube page that will keep your kids entertained while you prepare dinner! Come into the Library and scan the QR code to gain access.

Mother Goose with Ms. Sandie on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m.
This gentle literacy program is for the youngest patrons. There will be songs, stories, simple sign language, parenting tips, lap bounces, etc. For children between the ages of birth and 18 months.

Books and Blankies Senior on Thursdays at 11:15 a.m.
Have a little fun prepping for your future kindergarten year by joining us for some songs, stories, crafts, and literacy skills. This program runs in 6 week sessions. For children 4 to 5 years of age.

Friday First Chapters on Fridays at 4:00 p.m.
Hear the first chapters of two early reader chapter books and two advanced reader chapter books on Beaman Library's Children's Room Facebook page. Then you can come into the Library to check them out if you wish!

Enjoy a drop-in story time at the Library with movement songs and fun stories!
