An update from Bacon Free Library

Closed on Monday, June 20

The library will be closed on Monday, June 20 in observance of Juneteenth.

Baskets Needed

A tisket a tasket, the BFL needs some baskets! We are looking for donations of baskets to load up for the summer reading challenge winners. If you have a basket about 12 inches across that will hold a stuffed animal and some candy and other snacks, we would be happy to have them. Please drop them off the next time you come by. Thanks in advance.

Visit the Library!

We are open for browsing with no reservations required! Stop by:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:30—5:30
Tuesday: 9:30—7:00
Saturday: 10—12 for curbside pickups only

Curbside pickup will continue to be offered during all of our open hours.

Monday Morning Stories and Songs

Mondays at 10:00 am outdoors

Join us for a high-energy story time!  We’ll mix things up with a combination of stories for listening and songs for dancing. This program will be held outside on the library lawn. Bring a towel or blanket for stretching. Look for us around back! If there is rainy weather, the story time will be moved indoors.

Outdoor Story Time

Tuesdays at 10:00 am outdoors

We have missed you! Come and join us for in-person, outdoor story time on the beautiful grounds behind the library. Be sure to bring a blanket or chairs to get comfy. If there is rainy weather, the story time will be moved indoors.

Art Opening Reception: Rob Dunlavey

Tuesday, June 21 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the library

Join us for an opening reception for Natick artist and children’s book illustrator Rob Dunlavey, who will be showing landscape drawings and paintings at the BFL from June 16 – September 28. This event is free and open to the public. Rob’s lyrical and expressionistic drawings of the South Natick dam capture the plant and animal life seen over the past dozen years of his daily artistic practice. Rob is also an award-winning children’s book illustrator; his next book Whale Fall, written by Melissa Stewart, will be published by Random House in Spring 2023.
