Even in the 19th century, the climate was a challenge for farmers and gardeners. Learn about how people in the 19th century adapted when the weather made growing food difficult. See the different ways families were able to preserve their food year-round, and what they did when produce was running low.

Cost: Included with standard daytime admission or Village membership. Standard daytime admission is $30 for adults, $28 for seniors (55+), $15 for youth (4-17), $15 for college students (with a valid college ID), and free for children 3 and under.
