We're kicking off our 110th year with a summer concert series that promises to be one of the best yet!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax in the park as we continue one of our city's great traditions. All summer long we'll be celebrating the bicentennial of the birth of composer Franz von Suppe, featuring one of his overtures each week. You'll hear Poet and Peasant, the Light Cavalry Overture, Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna, and some others you've probably never heard of! Come learn about James Reese Europe, the man who brought jazz to Europe and led the 369th Regiment in World War I, only to die in a concert hall in Boston.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be held indoors at Leominster City Hall Auditorium.
