Sundays Closed for Summer
June 18 - September 3
 
The Weston Public Library will be closed on Sundays through the summer starting on June 18. We will be open on Sundays starting on September 10.

Monday, June 19
 
The library will be closed on Monday, June 19 for Juneteenth. Also known as Freedom Day and Emancipation Day, Juneteenth is a national holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States.
 
Celebrate Juneteenth on Hoopla

In June, we celebrate the end of slavery in America on Juneteenth. Check out a host of great materials for all ages from audiobooks and ebooks to films FREE with your library card on Hoopla!

June is national PRIDE month! Celebrate PRIDE on Hoopla with a host of eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital films/TV shows. Click here to browse and check something out today for FREE!
 
Adult Summer Reading - All Together Now
June 20 - August 18
 
At the Weston Public Library, we're all about bringing people together! Readers of ALL AGES are invited to take part in our Summer Reading Challenge! Just by signing up, you will receive a commemorative tote bag that you are encouraged to decorate over the course of the summer. And for every 120 minutes of reading you do, we will give you a special pin, that you choose, to make your bag even more special as well as a raffle entry for the summer raffles! You can earn up to 10 pins and entries by reading, but we will also have other ways to earn those tickets!
 
Don't forget to check out some of the amazing programs we have coming up starting with Paint Your Pet this month! We've got art, yoga, trivia, music, and more events just for adults all summer long. A brochure will be released in June with all the details!

Paint Your Pet
Thursday, June 29 at 6:00pm
 
Create a portrait of your family pet with watercolor artist Nancy Roman. No experience necessary, ages 18 and over. Bring a 5x7" photo of your pet (a close-up of their face is best). Don't have a pet? Choose a photo provided by the instructor!
 
Nancy Roman is a Connecticut portrait artist who has conducted watercolor workshops throughout the region for several years. Register here!
