Chef Alice Gong will teach us how to make 4 types of rolls, properly wash & make sushi rice; demonstrate various veggie cutting techniques; discuss delicious sauces and where to access local proteins & produce; and direct us on where to purchase best sushi-making supplies and ingredients.  Don’t miss this fun & instructional learning experience.

Master cellist and professor of cello at LeMoyne College, Lydia Parkington will cull from her experience working in orchestral and chamber settings, as well as her collaborations with such varied artists as the Kronos Quartet, Bruce Springsteen, and the Dropkick Murphys.

Solar Power with the Climate Action Committee
Saturday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m.

You may want to electrify your home, but find yourself wondering about electricity bills. Installing solar panels on your home or business could be the answer to transitioning away from fossil fuels, while also reducing monthly bills. Dick Elkin, from the Wellfleet Climate & Energy Committee and E2 Solar (https://trurolibrary.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=35ea88bbcca61c539550a0580&id=172a7b23dd&e=a2fadaa1f7) installation coordinator Desiree Revoir, will talk participants through the process of installing solar panels, including information about state and federal incentives and rebates.

The World to Come

A million-dollar painting by Marc Chagall is stolen from a museum during a singles’ cocktail hour. The unlikely thief is Benjamin Ziskind, a lonely former child prodigy who writes questions for quiz shows and who is sure the painting used to hang on a wall of his parents’ living room. As Ben tries to evade the police, he and his twin sister, Sara, seek out the truth of how the painting got to the museum, whether the ?“original” is actually a forgery, and whether Sara, an artist, can create a convincing forgery to take its place.

Every Friday at 10:30 a.m.

We'll meet behind the library for Outside Storytime (inside if it rains) and we’d love to meet you there! For children up to age 5 and their caregivers. Talk, sing, read, and play together in a format appropriate for young children. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement.
