CPR Demonstration and Training
Westhampton EMTs to offer demonstration and training in CPR.

Do you know what to do to help save a life of a friend or loved one in cardiac arrest?

The public is invited to come to the Westhampton Public Safety Complex on Saturday February 25, 2023, from 3 to 5, you can learn how to recognize a cardiac arrest, and how to perform life-saving chest compression.

American Heart Association certified Westhampton instructors Charleen Diggins and John Shaw will be conducting demonstrations in how to perform CPR, and assisting bystanders in practicing chest compression.  Participants will learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, and proper method for adult chest compressions.

"Most by-stander CPR is performed on a loved one, says Shaw, who has served Westhampton as an EMT and with the Westhampton Fire Department for decades.  "Statistics have proven that by-stander early recognition of cardiac arrest, and starting immediate chest compressions, greatly increases survival rates for the patient."

This presentation and training will be from 3 to 5 PM on February 25, 2023, Westhampton Safety Complex, 48 Stage Rd.  All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend, and to take this opportunity to learn this life saving method.  There is no fee, and no written test, quick and easy.
