The Town Clerk's Office will have limited hours for the week of Monday, January 23, 2023 to Friday, January 27, 2023. The office will be open only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, January 23 through Thursday, January 26, 2023 and will be closed on Friday, January 27, 2023. Credit cards will NOT be accepted during this week. The office will be fully opened during that timeframe to obtain dog licenses (which you should obtain no later than January 31, 2023 to avoid a $5 late fee per dog) and to drop off your 2023 Annual Street Listing form (which should be returned as soon as you can). Vital Records requests (e.g., birth, death and marriage certificates) will not be able to be filled until the following week. Please know that if your request is urgent, birth certificates are available in the town you were born in as well as the town your parents were living in when you were born and that death certificates are available in the town they physically died in as well as the town they were living in when they died so other options may be available. Marriage certificates are available ONLY in the town in which you completed the paperwork to get your marriage license. If you wish to obtain a marriage license to get married within the next 60 days, that process will not be able to be done until the following week or you can go to any City or Town Clerk in Massachusetts to obtain it.
