Join us for the first volume of some of the much loved and most popular love songs spanning fifty years from the twenties to the seventies.

Reducing the Risk of Dementia: "Optimizing Brain Health"

Monday, June 5, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Join Danielle Morgan as she talks about the ways to reduce the risk of dementia to optimize brain health. You will walk away with information on how you can help with your own brain health.

Home Safety Checklist with the Lexington Fire Department

Wednesday, June 7, 1:00 pm

Join Peter Ricci, Lexington Fire Department and Wai Chong, Health Outreach Clinician as they walk you through your home safety checklist. They will talk about general fire safety as well as getting rid of old medications and "hazardous" materials. Participants will receive practical training on how to use a fire extinguisher.

Eleanor Roosevelt - The First Lady of the World

Thursday, June 8, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Sheryl Faye plays the role of the longest-serving First Lady of the U.S. She was the first presidential spouse to hold press conferences, write a syndicated newspaper column, and speak at a national convention. She advocated for expanded roles for women in the workplace, the civil rights of African Americans and Asian Americans, and the rights of WW II refugees.

Memory Cafe

Wednesday, June 14, 10:30 - 11:30 am

We know the importance of in-person connections, especially when a loved one has dementia. We welcome your return to our newly revived Memory Café. We hope that caregivers and their loved ones can socialize and share in some meaningful activities. Sponsored by Minute Women Home Care. This program is part of a growing nationwide movement to provide community-based support, stimulation and education for people and families living with cognitive decline. At each Café, individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, along with their caregivers gather.

Please email krollins@lexingtonma.gov or drop in to our in-person Memory Café! This program is for those living with dementia and a caregiver.

Come learn about the Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) diet and learn how you can incorporate the recommended foods for brain health into your daily diet.

Senior Medicare Patrol Presentation

Friday, June 16, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Come meet Judy Gertler, a representative of the Massachusetts Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) Program, and participate in a discussion on how to prevent, detect, and report healthcare errors, fraud, and abuse.

Coping with Change

Tuesday, June 20, 2:00-3:00 p.m., in person at Community Center

A support group for those 60+ dealing with difficult changes older adults face. We'll discuss a variety of topics, self-help tools & coping skills.

Cooking with Anastasia

"Eating to Support Gut Health"

Virtual, Friday, June 23, 11:00 a.m. - Noon

Focusing on legumes, we will make fava, a year-round favorite dip. Dr. Galanopoulos, wellness coach, teaches people how to cook for gut, mental, and overall health.
