We continue to welcome our new subscribers who signed up through the Communications Survey that was sent out with the Town Clerk’s Census. We hope that you will find this weekly communication useful. On the Friday after a Town Council Meeting, we provide a summary of the Meeting which includes the Town Council votes on agenda items. This summary is not to be confused with the minutes which are prepared by the Town Clerk and voted on by the Town Council at its next meeting.

There is a lot going on in the Town of Barnstable, here is a preview of some of what you can find in this week’s issues of eNews:
-Learn how to understand your tax bill with our Barnstable 101: Assessing video;
-Town Talk with Town Manager Mark Ells on the wind projects happening in Town;
-The second Great Streets Downtown Hyannis: Early Design Concepts for the Main Street Transportation Network and Streetscape Project will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Barnstable High School cafeteria;
-a public information meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, January 30, 2023 regarding work planned along the south end of Ocean Street, including new/improved pedestrian facilities from the John F. Kennedy Memorial to Kalmus Beach, relocating the Kalmus Beach entrance, and a water main extension;
-MassDEP recently extended the public comment period for the proposed Title 5 and Watershed Permitting draft regulations through Monday, January 30, 2023; and
-Barnstable Recreation will host a family friendly information session to get a first look at proposed designs and equipment choices for the NEW Centerville Playground on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
