Food Drive!

The Topsfield Library is having a food drive to benefit the Top Cupboard Food Pantry from October 10th through October 27th! Please remember that damaged and expired items will not be accepted, and please do not leave donations outside of the library while we are closed.

October 26th is Topsfield Library's Halloween

We have Halloween events for all ages!


Drop by the library on October 26th for Halloween events for all ages! We will have Trick or Treating at the library from 10am to 5:30pm, Introduction to Dungeons and Dragons (for ages 10+) from 1pm-3pm, and a virtual event for adults: Forensic Entomology!

Wonderful Ones: Mon 10/16, 11:30am-12pm: A lapsit group for babies aged newborn to 18 months. Come join us as we read simple board books, sing some songs, including lap bounces, finger play songs, tickles, and hugs. There will be lots of movement, stories, and loads of fun! Space is very limited. Registration is required. Sign up here.

Fall Storytime: Tue 10/17, 10:30-11:30am: Storytime is back! Join us outside on Tuesday mornings for stories, crafts, and fun with Ms. Eileen! Registration is required for storytime. Fall Storytime will take place outside in front of the library. Please bring something to sit on and anything else you may need to be outdoors & sitting on grass. In the event of poor weather, Storytime will be moved into the Activity Room. Sign up here.

Mah jongg: Tue 10/17, 1pm-4pm: Drop-in Mah jongg. All levels welcome, no sign-up necessary.

Craft and Chat: Tue 10/17, 5pm-6:30pm: Bring your current project to the library to work in the company of fellow crafters. This is a drop-in program, come when you can, leave when you need. Any and all crafts welcome; tables, chairs, and access to the library craft swap materials provided!

CFCE of the North Shore - Music and Movement Playgroup: Wed 10/18, 10:30-11:30am: Coordinated Family Community Engagement (CFCE) manages and runs this fun event! Music and movement are important at every stage of a child’s development and can be brought together in this fun, interactive program. CFCE's programs include music with activities to further refine children's fine and gross motor skills.

VIRTUAL- All Rise: The Podcast, with Diane Godfrey and Jordan Rich: Wed 10/18, 7pm-8pm: Join us as we welcome Diane Godfrey, a court reporter for the Massachusetts Judicial System, as she speaks about her experiences in the court room with Jordan Rich, a respected Boston broadcaster and voice-over artist. Forensic Science Roadshow, with Paul Zambella: Thu 10/19, 5:30pm-7pm: Venture into the world of CSI with this interactive program that introduces you to the fascinating subject of forensic science. In-person event to be held in the Library Activity Room. For more information click here. No registration required. (Suitable for high school age and up)

Select Board Community Listening Session: Sat 10/21, 10am-11:30am: From 10:00-11:30AM, one to two Select Board members will be at the Town Library in an open forum format and give residents a chance to share thoughts and ideas and to ask any questions. There is no set agenda, just a chance to communicate with your elected Town officials. No appointment necessary.
