This Week at the Jones Library

It's September!  While many of us are gearing up for another academic year, we hope you all will find some time to visit the library soon.  There are a lot of interesting and exciting things happening this month, so take a few minutes to read this newsletter to catch up on all our library news.  And our website is there for you 24/7, so you can take a look at the online calendar, use our online tools, and search the catalog from anywhere!

Sunday hours resume

Beginning on Sunday, September 10, library hours resume at the Jones Library.  The library will be open on Sundays from 1:00 pm until 5:15 pm.  Bring the family and stop by for a  visit!

This series has now been extended through October 2! Join us to knit or crochet hats for babies and children who are in the state’s care (MA Department of Children and Families). Come to as many sessions as you like. Patterns and yarn will be available, or use your own yarn (machine wash and dry only). Hats in sizes preemie through adult are welcomed. Finished hats can be dropped off through October 2 at the Jones Library reference desk and at the Munson Memorial Library.

Reading the Classics
Tuesday, September 12 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Our virtual classics book discussions resume! Moderated by Amherst College professor Ilan Stavans, this series is a collaboration of the Jones Library, the New York Public Library, and Restless Books, and together we explore various world literature classics.

Join us via Zoom to discuss this month's selection of short stories by Clarice Lispector. Learn more and register.
