This Week at the Jones Library

We're starting to see a little more color as we continue our journey through October.  Beautiful fall days are perfect times to head to the library and cool fall evenings are the perfect time to curl up with a good book.  There is so much going on at the library this week - take a few minutes to enjoy this newsletter and see if there is an event that is just right for you.  You can visit our website at any time to get more information from our calendar, connect with our online resources, or access our catalog. See you at the library!

Jones Library Closing

The Jones Library will be closed on Sunday, October 15 and Monday, October 16 for some construction preparation work.  Regular library hours resume at the Jones on Tuesday, October 16.

The Munson Memorial Library will be open regular hours on Monday.

Ukulele Play Along
Monday, October 16 from 7:00 - 7:45 pm

Grab your ukulele and play along - because playing your ukulele is more fun when you do it with others. We'll be focusing on 3 and 4 chord songs, with lyrics and chords provided on screen. Participants will be muted, so don't worry about how you sound!

Join via Zoom.

This program is made possible by the Friends of the Jones Libraries.

More Haunted Lighthouses of New England
Monday, October 16 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Lighthouses and ghost stories often seem to go hand in hand. Jeremy D'Entremont will tell us about the mysterious Woman in White in the Isles of Shoals and the spirit of a drowned lighthouse keeper at Penfield Reef in Connecticut, as well as some of the paranormal investigations he's been part of - and much more.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library and in partnership with a multitude of MA libraries.  Jones Library participation is made possible by the Friends of the Jones Libraries.
