Grandparent's Day Crafternoon Saturday, September 9th at 2 p.m.

Celebrate grandparents with this drop-in crafternoon. Geared toward children ages 3+. Crafting available while supplies last.

Courtyard Storytime Monday, September 11th at 10 a.m.

Join Miss Sonja for singing, dancing, and stories in the fresh air. No registration or tokens needed. Geared toward kids age 1+. In the case of inclement weather the program will be canceled.

High Holiday Storytime Tuesday, September 12th at 4:30 p.m.

Join us at the library for a High Holiday-themed story time including songs, stories, and a craft. This program is geared for kids 2-8. No registration is required; admission tokens will be handed out beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will be available until they run out.

Bzzzz.. The Bee is Here - Spelling Bee for Kids Monday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m.

The Library's Spelling Bee is for kids entering grades 3-4.  Participants would be picked through a lottery system.  If your child gets in, you will be contacted by September 11th. If you are interested, please send the following information to splkids@cwmars.org: 1. Child's Name and Grade 2. Parent's name, email and phone number.

ASL Scavenger Hunt all day Thursday, September 21st

Celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages with a special ASL scavenger hunt and other activities in the Children's Room.

Reading Challenges

Banned Books Reading Challenge starts Friday, September 1st. Kids ages 5 to 12 are encouraged to log the books they read to win their own copy of a banned book.

Community StoryWalk

This month's StoryWalk® at Lake Street Park is We are Going to be Pals by Mark Teague. This wonderful community book was done in partnership with Shrewsbury Parks & Recreation and the Friends of the Library.

Recurrent Programs

Lego Club Tuesdays starting on September 19th from 4-6 p.m.

Follow our weekly prompt, or create whatever your heart desires.  For kids of all ages who are comfortable using Legos. Parents, please be aware that this program has no facilitator.
