It's a busy month at RPL!

Fall's in full swing throughout October with programs and events for all ages. Check out links below for some ideas, and don't miss our fall events brochure, covering RPL happenings through November.

Highlights:

Are you new to Reading, or do you know someone who is? Join us for The New Resident Open House, on October 3.

The first week of October is Banned Books Week! We have a range of programs related to the Freedom to Read.

October 4: Banned in the USA, History of Censorship...

October 4: The In BeTween Book Club for grades 5-7

October 26: Virtual visit with Ryan Estrada, co-author of Banned Book Club

Beginning October 5, Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge.

Grandparents as Parents on October 16, registration required. Colleen Pritoni of The Commission on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren presents an  informational session on the services offered by the Commission to help relatives, including grandparents raising kin.

Hear Gayle Saks discuss her family's persecution by the Nazis and survival in On Being a Second Generation Holocaust Survivor, on October 23.

Join RMHS graduate Autumn Hendrickson for a night of Reading History! You'll learn about Autumn's research on the men and women from Reading and North Reading, Massachusetts that served in World War II. Reading's Contribution to WWII, October 25.
