In the Footsteps of Crazy Horse by Joseph Marshall, III - 11-year-old Jimmy McClean is teased for his fair skin tone. On a trip with his maternal grandfather, Nyles High Eagle, Jimmy learns more about his Lakota heritage and visits significant places in the life of Crazy Horse, the 19th-century Lakota leader and warrior.

Mascot by Charles Waters & Traci Sorrel - Written in multiple points of view, this novel follows six middle school students from different backgrounds and beliefs, as they learn about identity, tradition and what it means to make changes when their school mascot is perceived as racist.

My Good Man by Eric Gansworth - Brian, a 20-something Indigenous reporter, sets out to uncover the truth of a mysterious assault, and navigate the life he once abandoned at the Tuscarora reservation.

Harvest House by Cynthia Leitich Smith - Strange things start happening at night near a rural attraction, culminating in a creepy man stalking a young indigenous woman, which leads Hughie Wolfe and his friend to discover the truth to protect themselves and the community.
