Take and Make Craft

Starting Monday, October 23

 Stop by the children’s desk to pick up a craft to take home. While supplies last.

 Ages: 3-6

Not So Scary Crafts

Monday, October 23 at 4pm

 Bats and spiders and glue, oh my! Stop by to make some fun paper crafts.

 Ages: 5 and up

Make Way for Storytime

Tuesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 26 at 10am and 11am

Start your day with stories, songs and rhymes led by Newton Free Library children’s librarians.

Ages: 0-2

Pokemon Club

Tuesday, October 24 at 4pm

 Gather with fellow Pokemon fans to do simple crafts, watch an episode of Pikachu and Friends and of course play some Pokemon! 

Ages: 7 and up

Movers and Shakers

Wednesday, October 25 at 10:30am

In this movement program we will  have lots of fun with upbeat rhymes and songs.

3/4 Writing Group

Wednesday, October 25 at 7pm

Does your third or fourth grader like to write? Then this monthly program is for them! Participants will learn to expand their thoughts and description, and will have time to work and share each session.

Disney and Pixar Trivia Extravaganza

Thursday, October 26 at 4pm 

Gather for a fun filled afternoon of trivia for families of all ages. Teams will work together to answer questions related to Disney and Pixar movies so bring your thinking caps!

My First Storytime

A songs and stories lapsit program for children and their caregivers.

Pinocchio: A Concert and Conversation with Commonwealth Lyric Theater

Sunday, October 29 at 2pm

 Set in a Tuscan village, the classic Italian tale of Pinocchio tells the story of a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. Join the Commonwealth Lyric Theater and the Young Artists Chamber Singers as they bring Pinocchio's music to life, and tell the tale of how Pinocchio came to be.

 Ages: 6 and up

Friends of the Newton Free Library

Dial a Story: Listen to a children’s librarian read you a story over the phone. Call 617-796-1415 to listen to a story anytime you like. A new story is recorded weekly. For kids of all ages.
