December Main Hall and Gallery Art Shows

Shuk Susan Lee, Main Hall -- "Inspired by music, dance, legends, people and cultures that I have experienced in my travels, I created a series that portrays figures in a variety of urban, natural and occasionally surrealistic settings. This exhibition presents my interpretation of these memorable moments captured across time and cultures. Each artwork weaves its own narrative, connecting the figures with their environment like a tapestry. My goal is to engage my audience through personal storytelling, as I believe that artwork must go beyond technique and touch the viewer's heart."

Newton award-winning pastelist, Shuk Susan Lee, has been featured in the National Arts Club and American Art Collector magazine. A juried member of the International Guild of Realism, Salmagundi Club, and Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, she also has achieved “IAPS/ Master Circle” and Signature status in nine pastel societies.

Steve Edson, Gallery -- Cars are a catalyst for many people’s earliest memories: from romantic dinner dates to trips to the store and adventures driving locally or cross-country. Vehicles are used for pleasure, for commercial purposes and for some, the sheer thrill and enjoyment of racing to be the first to cross the finish line in the shortest amount of time.

Steve Edson’s car photography illustrates the exquisite precision of bent metal and chrome that conform to a designer's vision for the efficiencies of aerodynamics combined with the beauty of timeless style. Within this series, he uses his camera to highlight and celebrate the industrial nature of car design both in its abstract form, and the transformation cars undergo in different lighting and environmental atmospheric conditions.
