Health Benefits of Bone Broth with Dave from Therapy Gardens
Great soup starts with a great stock and great stock also makes a great drink! Ditch the store-bought stuff and come learn about the healthful benefits to making your own bone broth and vegetable stock. Participants will sample Therapy Gardens own Bone Broth and learn how to make a variety of broths and stocks on their own. Recipes and tips provided.

Written in the days of ominously flickering candles and kerosene lamps, “The Shadows on the Wall” and “The House That Was Not” continue to thrill. In the wake of a sudden mysterious death, “The Shadows on the Wall” draws four siblings to a familiar but menacing New England parlor. “The House That Was Not” lures an unsuspecting new bride across the bleak Nebraska prairie. Authored by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman (1903) and Elia Wilkinson Peattie (1898),respectively, these tales evoke the America of a century ago, enthralling audiences today.

Join Retired Massachusetts Superior Court Justice Dennis J. Curran for a lecture from his series “Great Trials That Changed History: A Judge’s Perspective”
The 1849 murder of Dr. George Parkman in Boston stands as one of the most - if not the most - sensational trials of the 19th century. This case has it all: a grisly murder, a dismembered corpse, a wealthy victim, a respected suspect, a questionable lead witness for the prosecution and unusual court proceedings. The forensics of the case—one of the first trials to allow scientific evidence as testimony, and the first to allow dental evidence—are explored along with a brief history of the “Spunkers” Club, a secret group of body-snatchers at the Harvard Medical School.

After Hours Party: Stamps & Sweets With Out Metrowest!: FRIDAY, September 29th, 7-9pm:
Join OUT MetroWest and the library for an evening filled with ice cream, stamp carving, games, pinatas, and karaoke! Carve your own custom stamps, build your own sundaes, take your back to school aggressions out on a pinata, and sing your best (or worst) songs!

Teen Advisory Board: Wednesday, September 13TH, 5-6PM:
What does our Teen Advisory Board do? We plan events, help out in the community, represent the library at events, get experience for college and job applications, and eat all the snacky snacks! We meet once a month and each meeting counts as 1 hour of volunteer/community service hour!
Need more volunteer and community service hours throughout the rest of the year? This Is The Meeting To Attend!! We will be discussing all the volunteer opportunities that the library has coming up.
