Looking for tax forms?

Stop by the lobby of our KLB entrance and visit our tax table.

We currently have the 2023 Income tax booklets and 1040/1040-SR forms.

If you don't find what you are looking for, stop by the reference desk for further assistance.

Winter Reading Bingo

During the next couple of months when the most sensible thing to do is curl up with a good book, we invite you to play Winter Reading Bingo with us at the Library!

This is a reading challenge, like traditional summer reading, in the form of a bingo card. This year we have a bingo card for adults and teens as well as one for kids!

It's easy to play.  From January 16th through March 15th, pick up a Bingo Card at the North, East, or Main Branches of the Falmouth Public Library – including in the Children’s Room.  Then read books to get Bingo!

Turn in your Bingo card in at a service desk to receive a small gift AND be entered into a random drawing to win a prize – a $50 gift card to Eight Cousins!  One prize will awarded at random to one completed adult/teen bingo card and one children’s bingo card.  Happy Reading!

Zoom Talk: Effective Grassroots Movements That Impact Voting Rights

Monday, February 5th, 7pm-8pm

Online via Zoom

What does it take to take a Grassroots idea to a movement which can have significant impact on voting and elections? Join us for this virtual panel discussion to see how that happens and what you can do to be part of that movement, with Rachael V. Cobb, Ph.D., Chair and Associate Professor of Government at Suffolk University! She specializes in U.S. elections, election administration, electoral politics, civic engagement, and political participation.

Professor Cobb established the University Pollworkers Project, a nonpartisan program designed to recruit college students as poll workers as a response to reports of an estimated shortage of 500,000 poll workers nationwide. Since 2006, more than 1,000 students from the Greater Boston area have received training and worked as poll workers.

Her work has appeared in the Quarterly Journal of Political Science and Studies in American Political Development. Professor Cobb serves on the board of MassVOTE and the Boston Election Advisory Committee. She received her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her AB from Bryn Mawr College.

Zoom Talk: Your Retirement: Dream or Disaster? How to Avoid the Hidden Traps in Retirement Planning Advice
Tuesday, January 23rd, 2pm-3pm

Online via Zoom

Did you know that a large financial portfolio, an estate plan, and long-term care insurance won’t be enough to prevent your dream retirement from becoming a disaster in the United States? Or do you know someone forced into institutional care after a health crisis, lost assets due to unplanned medical and long-term care costs, or became a burden on loved ones?

According to Elder Law Attorney and bestselling author Rajiv Nagaich, these results are called “retirement plan failure.”  Over his 20-plus years of experience in United States elder law, Rajiv has developed a step-by-step guide to retirement planning by connecting the various dots of the retirement planning process. The LifePlanning approach is a system that brings together legal, financial, and housing issues into a coordinated effort that can work to make sure you don’t end up being forced into institutionalized care, going broke, and being a burden on your family.

In this enlightening and informative webinar, Rajiv explains why “retirement plan failure” happens and how you can keep it from happening to you.
